To reserve your spot for any workshop (except Thursday Evening Drop In), contact the
Facilitator, Coach or Instructor not less than one week before the date of the workshop.
- Bring a camera, snacks/lunch/dinner, as appropriate..., and an open mind and curiosity.
- Payment is due not less than a week before a workshop begins
- Check with the person offering the workshop to register and for details regarding payment.

Art From the Dark - 8 Weeks of Intuitive Artmaking
to Move Us From Mid-Winter to the Spring Equinox…

Description: An eight-week workshop for those new to Turtle Studios as well as those returning to their creative work. Coaching will include play, writing and meditation to support the creative process, as well as instruction in basic painting, drawing, printmaking and collage techniques.

Papier Mache—Three Weeks

Description: We will explore a variety of different methods, including paste, newspapers, tissue paper, cardboard and masking tape, to create a variety of shapes and surfaces. Some creations may take several days to complete, so be prepared and be patient.

Description: We all have a story to tell. This workshop will help participants open and explore the seeds, images, and story themes they carry within. Come play with materials, draw, and write! Unearth and give shape to a short story; or, begin a longer work. For studio affiliates and those new to the studio. Please bring a journal and drawing materials: charcoal, pastel or conte crayon. $10 paper fee for non-affiliates.

FREE 2-DAY Play-Shop Intensive!

Description: Come with current work, or the goal of playing, or thinking about what you want next from your Making. Bring lunch, what you want to work on, your materials and… since we don’t know what our head count will be…bring your flexibility, cooperation and good humor! Plan on two-days to further your artmaking and dream some dreams for the studio we want to be when we grow up!

Collage 101 – Black and White and Gray

Description: Explore the subtle monochromes of winter by making collages using shades of black and gray (and maybe a stray splash of color here and there). We’ll paint up a bunch of papers (using blacks and grays that don’t come from the tube) and warm up the studio.
